Participation in the exercise groups is both inexpensive, social, and enjoyable. With exercise in the sports buildings, you get:

Training with an instructor, use of weightlifting equipment, other machines, climbing wall, exercise bike, and much more, as well as shower and sauna (with some good stories mixed in). The main content is line gymnastics with an emphasis on strength, balance, agility, and fitness, and the schedule is shown below. There are instructors from mid-August to the end of May. General fitness classes and other training are announced in the brochure “Training Schedule. Sports and Fitness at NTNU,” which is distributed in the sports buildings each semester. Spring 2026 Schedule

We offer the following two exercise classes each week, which are open to both ladies and gentlemen:

Sports NTNU-BIL
Mondays 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM in Armfeldtsalen (Room 4), the Sports Building Gløshaugen
Thursdays 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM in Armfeldtsalen (Room 4), Sports Building Gløshaugen

The schedule for all activities in the Sports Building can be found on SiT's website. See under “Training Facilities/Sports Building Gløshaugen/Hall Allocation Gløshaugen.» Participation requires a membership in Sit Idrett.

NOTE! Minor changes to the exercise program may occur, but will in that case be announced via Spond.

Information via Spond

Sports clubs use Spond for member information. Registering as described above ensures membership in the Sports clubs“ Spond list. The member list is used for training information: start dates, changes, reminders, etc. To send a message to all members, go to Spond and select ”Post" addressed to all members of the Sports clubs.
